For a long time I have liked most of the news articles I receive via
e-mail from Liberty One News. But more and more I am finding that the
person or persons writing and posting many of the articles - feels a
need to garner more attention to his/her writing by adding "OMG"
as an exclamation or to grab attention. And I find that repulsive and
very offensive.
As a Conservative Christian, I am sure that I am not alone - and that all other Conservative Christian believers also find that "foot stomping" on the name of our God to be like spitting in His face.
I put this on the level of the church in the Midwest with whom I had a very brief dialogue some years ago, which told me, "We do not post our Statement of Faith (on our web site) - because we do not want to offend anyone." I responded, "Well, you most certainly have offended me. And I have little doubt that you have also offended my God!" That was the end of our dialogue.
Below is the e-mail I sent to Liberty One News. As I tell them, I do hope someone there will read and take notice of what I have written. Otherwise I will have to permanently mark their e-mails as "Blacklist" and let my MailWasher program delete them before they get into my computer.
I am sharing this with all my Friends for I know that most of you are Conservative Christian believers. And those few who are not can diss me if you like, for I will always choose to stand up for my God, even if it costs me Friends. If you are in the former group, I pray that you, too, will share this message with all your FRANs (Friends, Relatives, Associates, Neighbors) and ask them to share it also.
As my photo below shows, the Ten Commandments are the Moral Compass for America. I realize that some may say that the Ten Commandments were only for the Old Testament Jews, but that is not true. Like building your new home, first you lay a solid foundation, and then you build upon that foundation. The foundation for Christians and Jews, for Christianity and Judaism, is the Ten Commandments.
God gave Moses the Ten Commandments. Then He gave Moses the Law which consist of over 600 laws which elaborate upon the Ten Commandments for Judaism. During His earthly ministry, Jesus Christ took the Ten Commandments and compressed them into two commandments for His New Testament church:
Look at the Ten Commandments.
The first FOUR Commandments are your relationship with God: Matthew 22:37-38, "Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment."
And the last SIX Commandments are your relationship with your fellow man: Matthew 22:39-40, "And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments hang ALL the Law and the Prophets."
Jesus Christ did not abandon the Ten Commandments, He only built upon them as our solid foundation. And we must ask those who respect us as Christian believers - to also respect our faith and our foundation.

Hi, I am hoping someone at Liberty One News cares enough to read and respond to this e-mail. Your name says "Liberty One" - yet you trample on my Christian Liberty and the Liberty of ALL true Christians when you consistently take God's name in vain by beginning so many articles, which I would otherwise read - with the declaration "OMG" - which to a Christian means "Oh My God!"
During the many years I have dialogued on forums and social media, when someone writes to me and begins with, "OMG" I respond with, "I hope that is the first part of your prayer to God, and that you will finish it."
YOUR TITLE: "OMG! Daycare Features ‘Sexual Exploration Rooms’ for Children" - is very offensive to me. The article is of great interest, but because of your inflammatory title, I have chosen to read and share it from Fox News.
Exodus 20:7, "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, . . . "
And using His name to swear, to add emphasis to your writings, or just to get attention - IS taking His name in vain. And is an insult to all Conservative Christians - and to God.
I realize that many Liberal Christians and Secularist will smirk and say that only means "Oh My Gosh." Yet the whole world knows this is only a euphemism for "Oh My God!" Please have respect for your Conservative Christian readers.
Thank you and God bless,
Bill
