A SHOUT-OUT TO ALL CICF FELLOWSHIP MEMBERS, OUR FRIENDS, AND FRIEND WANNA-BEs ~
We had our first in sanctuary worship service last Sunday at Corona International Christian Fellowship. And
we celebrated it by having our first "Open Lord's Supper" for
all believing fellowship members and visitors. I believe this is the
first Joint Communion since the Lockdown began a year ago. What
a blessing!
If you recall, over the years CICF has faithfully celebrated what
Christ has done for us by Remembering Him in the Lord's Supper on the
first Sunday of each month.
Personally I feel that Remembering Christ by joining Him and all
other believers at His Lord's Supper table once a month is a
great way to reinvigorate our own spiritual walk. While I feel having
Communion daily or weekly tends to make that blessed event
into a ritual instead of a Remembrance Celebration.
We invite you join us for in sanctuary worship and fellowship this coming Sunday at 1:30 PM. I know that we all are
excited that we can see the "light at the end of the tunnel"
as we take one more giant step toward getting back to normal. Yet we
still respect the the rights and
safety of all, so even though we are back in the
sanctuary for worship, we will still practice social distancing
and wearing masks. Fortunately our sanctuary is large enough to
accommodate us as we gather together and bring guests, we still have
space for social distancing.
The next step in getting back to normal is for all of us who
have, over the past year, become accustomed to, and almost too comfortable,
with online social media Sunday worship - it is time to break
the habit and once again start gathering together.
Hebrews 10:24-25, "And let us consider
one another in order to stir up love and good works, not
forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the
manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the
more as you see the Day approaching."
Let me close by sharing several articles posted by my
Friends at Pacific Church Network in Upland, California. This came in
an e-mail from PCN yesterday titled: "Great News for California
Churches." So let's celebrate the Supreme Court ruling by reactivating
our In Home Family Bible Studies!
Actually my dear Christian brethren, Jun & Rachel Quintans of
Resolved Bible Church in Norco, invited Dory, Lana, and me to Bible
Study Thursday evening in their home - but I was a bit under the weather
(NO, not Covid nor any similarity to that Flu) and we did not get to
go. The next time for sure! Home Family Bible Study group discussions
are the hands-down best tool for believers to mature in their knowledge
of God's Word and the best evangelizing tool when we invite our not yet
believing friends to join us.
So, please read and share these long overdue articles and let's all get back to gathering in homes to study His Word.
